Teaching Staff
Teaching staff at Queenswood are highly qualified.
Our Reception class teacher has a Law degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification specialising in Early Years.
The Infant Co-ordinator and Year 1/2 teacher has a wealth of experience, with a Language degree and training as an Infant specialist.
The junior teachers are also very experienced; one with a Science degree and extensive involvement in Maths and Special Educational Needs
in former posts.
Mrs Tanner is also a highly experienced teacher, with a degree in Music and English,
several diplomas and a postgraduate degree in Music
Performance; she brings this wealth of expertise as Head of Queenswood's Performing Arts.
All members of staff enjoy professional development and training, so that
they are kept informed of the requirements and innovations in education.

Child Protection
Queenswood School is committed to promoting the safeguarding of children. These responsibilities are taken very seriously and the School is pledged to sharing relevant information with other organisations. Child protection policies are available on request. The School also follows the current guidelines on safer recruitment and vetting of all staff, helpers and all who come into contact with the pupils.
Special Educational Needs &
English as an Additional Language
The School is able to provide support for pupils with special educational needs and where English is an additional language. For full details of this provision, a copy of the School's policy is available on request.
Code of Conduct
School has a written Code of Conduct that outlines our expectations of pupils' behaviour. We ask parents to cooperate with us in the implementation of this policy, a copy of which will be sent with the enrolment form. The Code of Conduct agreement is a tool for maximum partnership between school and home.
School Uniform
All pupils wear a school uniform, which is compulsory. A uniform list is sent out after enrolment.
Complaints Procedure
In accordance with Department for Education recommendations, Queenswood School has a Complaints Procedure,
copies of which are made available on request from the School Office.
Also in accordance with Department for Education directives, schools are obliged to record the
number of offical complaints received during the previous academic year:
Queenswood is proud to record that no formal complaints were received. We
are fully committed to dealing with issues and concerns as soon as they
arise and working in partnership with parents to achieve the best possible
results for the children in our care.
