Supporting the NSPCC
Queenswood's Exceptional Fundraising Success!
This term we took part in a sponsored spell challenge in aid of the NSPCC. Sarah Tarpey from the NSPCC came to talk to us about the work of the charity and introduce the spelling challenge.
Our children took part in this challenge and raised the largest amount of money for the charity this term per head of school population!
Sarah came back to school to say a big "thank you!" As you can see from the cheque, she received £589.60 on the day and this total was increased to £630 by the end of the week! Little gifts were presented to the children for taking part in the challenge.
Sarah sent a beautiful letter to the school afterwards thanking "the Queenswood School family" for the lovely time she spent with us and the fantastic generosity of parents and supporters!
Sports Day 2009
This was held in glorious sunshine at Morley Rugby Club.
