"There is a range of facilities including grass and hard-surface outdoor space with areas of soft landing. There is activity equipment available and the use is carefully monitored to ensure pupils’ safety." Ofsted

Queenswood School's sports development programme has helped to stimulate self-confidence and ensure that all children have the opportunity to take part in individual sports. The school has the use of a fully equipped large hall for indoor sessions and an outdoor court for sports games. Children take part in physical education sessions twice a week with our specialist PE teacher Miss Robinson. Throughout the year the children develop strength and stamina whilst receiving Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics and Sport skills instruction.

All children take part in weekly Swimming lessons, receiving expert instruction from fully qualified coaches at Morley Leisure Centre. Here they have the opportunity to gain certificates and awards as they develop their skills.

A highlight of the year is the Summer term Sports Day which is help at Morley Cricket Club: this is a feast of friendly competition for the children. Parents are invited to watch (and even join in the parents' races!) and celebrate the occasion as a whole-school community.

In addition to scheduled PE lessons, children receive Football and Netball coaching. We have enjoyed various fixtures with other local independent schools: allowing our children to experience wider competition and gain more memorable experiences.
